Get Email Updates & How to Subscribe

INTRODUCTION --
The Computer Security Division at NIST through a partnership with GovDelivery, is pleased to provide a free email subscription service. This service will allow you to receive email notifications about newly released publications and also important CSRC news and information when it becomes available. Below we provided for you a list of various topics that you can subscribe to.

As a subscriber, you will have control of which topic list you would like to belong to. The choice is all yours. You only have to subscribe to ONE topic (list). Once you become a subscriber, you will automatically be given a user profile which will allow you to add on to other topics and receive those emails that go out to those chosen topics. If you do not have a specific topic selected, you will not get an email from that specific topic. (ex. if you did not select to receive email from the Events topic, you will not receive emails regarding Events).

SPAM PROTECTION / BLOCK ADDRESSES / EMAIL FILTERS --
PLEASE NOTE -- IMPORTANT: If you have a SPAM blocker or created email rules and filters, you need to make sure to add the following 2 email addresses to be allowed to send email to your email address. If you do not allow (add) the following two addresses, then you will not receive any emails from the chosen lists.
 
csrc.nist@service.govdelivery.com (emails that come from the various lists {topics} will all come from this address)
AND also add
patrick.oreilly@nist.gov (Pat O’Reilly, NIST is the list administrator for all lists/topics)

GOVDELIVERY EMAIL CONFIRMATION & USER PROFILE --
Once you subscribe to one of the topics from the list provided below, you will receive an email confirmation. This GovDelivery email will provide information to how to use this list and the services we are providing. It will also explain how to use your user profile. The user profile will allow you to take total control of your subscription to our mailing list(s). Once you are in your user profile settings, you will be allowed to:

• Update your email address,
• Add (check) / Delete (uncheck) which lists that you would like to belong to from a list of available mailing lists we currently offer,
• You can password protect your user profile,
• You can unsubscribe from NIST’s / GovDelivery’s services altogether

AVAILABLE TOPICS (LISTS) and SUBSCRIBE TO LIST --
To subscribe, simply choose 1 topic and click link to subscribe. All you need is a valid email address. Your email will only be used to deliver the requested information or to give you access to your subscription preferences (user profile). Once you are in your user profile, follow instructions provided to choose to join more than one list. Over time, we will hopefully be adding more Computer Security Division topics (email lists) to expand our service to you.

We plan to expand the topics / lists in the near future. We will list them here along with adding them to the user profile when they become available.

PUBLICATIONS:

   DRAFTS PUBLICATIONS (CSRC Page for Drafts info.):

This topic consists of all new published draft publications. The drafts documents could be from one of the following type - FIPS PUB, Special Publication and/or NIST IRs. If you would like to receive an email once the publication is final, you need to add the 3 other publication categories (FIPS, SP, and NIST IR) to your user profile.
